I ran into this picture and I thought it was just too good to pass, so here it is.

(if you read this then
you see it full size ;-)

As the caption indicates, this was a cover picture of the German political (?) magazine 'Der Spiegel' - The Mirror.

Now that's funny, expecially since those individuals, save the one on the left, dodged the draft and wouldn't know how to hold or use a weapon, much less command those who do...

Gil.

Yes Colin Powell on the left was a high ranking officer in the U.S. military.
But he is not the only one who served.

Rumfeld next to him served 3 years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a naval aviator, plus many years as a reservist.

Also, since Condoleeza Rice is a woman, she was not subject to the draft, and therefore could not have dodged it.

So your statement that of the five individuals pictured, one served and the other four are draft dodgers is false. Two of them, Bush and Cheney, could be accused of draft dodging, but not four.

Your opinions would possess a greater verisimilitude if you had your facts straight.
