I had a trip back in time today.
Reading Boing-Boing and SlashDot I ran into video-taped physics lectures from MIT. Being a physicist myself I had to look - obviously...
Watching the video I surely had a flash-back to my old college times and without any stress that I might miss something important I completely enjoyed being in college again.
The MIT website with these lecture does contain information on how to download the videos in case you don't want to stream it, but it is quite a bit of work to manually change all the URLs to get to the right files. As I did this I though it was nice to just share that work.
So, if you want some real good physics lessions and want to first download them overnight and have them ready the next days, cut and paste the following into a text file and run it as a script.
The command wget you do have when you are on Linux, you can find it on the web when you are on Windows and if you are on a Mac - Google for it, it's there, I found it but forgot where.
So, without furter ado, here is the script to download the 35 physics lessons.
If you are in the windows world you will probably rename this script to something like getlessons.cmd to run it from the command line.
