OK, so I am spending a lot of time on the web and have done so from the very beginning - I admit that.
This results in my signing up on many new things that come across my screen via boing-boing, or SlashDot or many other channels.
Sometimes these new things that came across my screen where new when they did this crossing but are now not that fresh any more. One example being Yahoo, where I must have signed up very early but then never really used it. I found this out when I just tried my usual user ID 'gezi' with standard password - and yes, there I was.
Pity that they don't have that American-Express-style note on the site - Member since ... wondering when I actually signed up to be able to get a four letter ID on Yahoo.
But that's not really what I wanted to talk about - today's subject is much younger: MySpace.
I actually must have been late to join because 'gezi' was already taken as the personalized URL, so I had to use my second choice 'geziworld' and so here is my new presence at MySpace.
But that again is not that exciting - yet - don't be impatient - we are getting there as we are getting into the music business.
My very good friend Lisa - harpist extraordinaire - had revived my interest in MySpace telling me that it's really happening there, I checked it out and this is how I discovered my own space on MySpace that I had kind-of forgotten.
Many years ago I had, through Lisa, met Peter Seiler, who's great piano music I instantly fell in love with - I mean I always was a sucker for piano music, having missed to get any good at it myself. We had become friends over the years and just a few weeks ago Peter was here for a short visit. We got a chance to play internet together and I got a place amongst his friend on his MySpace page.
And now we are finally at the crescendo - - look at the good company I am in ...
